FAQ

Thanks for being here. You’re one of the greats!

Here you’ll find a collection of our greatest hits.

Museum Questions:

Q. I heard Songbirds closed. Are you open?

We sure are! We recently moved to a new location—206 W Main Street—where we continue to host live music, private events, and display educational guitar & music history exhibits. It is also our headquarters for the Songbirds Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that supports music education programs for kids across the south.

Q. Do you have any guitars on display?

Definitely! At any given time there are about 40 rare, vintage, and celebrity-owned guitars on display.

Q. How long does it take to view all the exhibits?

We notice it takes about an hour at most to move through the exhibits.

Q. Are there guided tours?

The exhibits are all self-guided, but our staff is very friendly and can answer most questions.

Q. Do you buy vintage/rare/old guitars? Amps? Gear?

We don’t, but if you’re feeling generous you can donate any instrument (of any value) to the foundation to help support our Guitars for Kids program. You can learn more about that program here, and you can find out more about donations here.

Q. Can I rent out Songbirds for my event?

Of course you can! We encourage it. Check out our rental page for more information.

Concert Questions:

Q. Do I have to pay a service fee if I buy a ticket at the door?

Yes. We are contractually obligated to charge a minimal service fee for show tickets by our ticket provider. Because we are a nonprofit, the fee is at a discounted rate. Thanks for supporting Songbirds!

Q. Who can I contact about booking acts at Songbirds?

Just shoot us an email with your information and an EPK (electronic press kit). We’ll get back to you ASAP.

Q. Do you sell alcohol?

Yes. We have a full-service bar that offers beer, liquor, and wine.

Q. Can my kid come to the concert? Are shows 21 and up?

Our concert venue is 18+, and we ID at the door. Children 17 and under may come to a concert IF accompanied by an adult.

Q. Are shows standing room only?

All shows are listed as seated or standing in the ticket description. And with any of the larger shows that are listed as standing, we can still offer seating upon request.

Q. What’s your capacity for events or shows?

Seated events are capped at 135. Standing events are capped at 220.

Q. Where should I park?

There are pay-to-park lots owned by Omega & BrightBase right outside of & surrounding Songbirds on Main Street. Alternatively, Chattanooga street/meter parking all around the area is free after 6 PM if you can find a spot. Also, try looking in the South Side Neighborhood where parking is free.

Q. Can I rent out Songbirds for my event?

Of course you can! We encourage it. Check out our rental page for more information.
