Born out of the collaboration between childhood friends, Dolphin Group is an upbeat and exciting project inspired by the unique energy of 80’s synth-pop, funk, and jam music, but with a modern update.
Residing in their hometown of Chattanooga, TN, every note of Dolphin Group is intricately produced in their home, Dolphin Studios, which features vintage and modern synthesizers, guitars, basses, and drums acquired over the years. Lyrically, the songs evoke parallel and colorful realities, untethered to humanity. Sonically, they conjure a hidden dance party on the beach. Their debut self-titled record (2021) meshes this energy into a funky, synth driven force, paying homage to Dolphin Group’s 80s pop heroes and their predecessors.
Before taking a hiatus in October 2023, Dolphin Group left the comforts of their home to record a fresh set of songs in the studio. For these sessions the band was moving in a new direction, conjuring the sounds of roots rock, blues, and jam music with hints of that 80s sound. Now, after almost two years of uncertainty, Dolphin Group is set to release their sophomore record, “A Telegram,” this November. The album bridges a gap between the energetic beginnings of the band and its modern era. With a new lineup and fresh sound, Dolphin Group returns to stages everywhere in 2025.

Venue Policies (Please Read):
No large bags or backpacks. Small purses or clutches only. Outside food and drink are not allowed unless otherwise noted. Exceptions may be made for medical or infant needs. All bags are subject to inspection. Concerts are 18+, and we ID everyone at the door. Ages 17 & under are allowed IF accompanied by a parent/guardian. All ticket sales final unless the show is cancelled by the venue. If you have questions, please contact the venue in advance.
