Brass Against
In an effort to use music to make a statement and inspire change, Brass Against has grown into a dynamic, revolving kaleidoscope of like-minded souls. Known for their viral covers of Rage Against the Machine, Tool, Soundgarden, Black Sabbath, etc., the collective is composed of mostly professional jazz musicians, allowing creativity, flexibility and inclusivity among the group and differentiating themselves from the usual all-male rock bands.
Austin Meade
Austin Meade’s music overflows with wide‑open soulfulness. After finding his true voice playing guitar as a teen in his pastor‑father’s church, those experiences lend both a gravitas and rebelliousness to Meade’s songs and self. Now he’s the frontman of his own band slinging guitar licks with expert precision, seamlessly blending genres into a groovy yet piercingly fresh sound of rock 'n' roll.
Dead Boys with Blacklist Union
Formed in Cleveland in 1976, Dead Boys were fundamental in the birth of hardcore punk and are best known for one of the first great punk anthems, "Sonic Reducer." Following the death of lead vocalist Stiv Bators in 1990, Dead Boys’ modern revival came almost 30 years later led by guitarist, Cheetah Chrome. With the widely acclaimed introduction of Jake Hout on lead vocals, Chrome states, “I think Stiv would be very proud of our choice."

Write to Rock Showcase
We are so proud to announce the completion of our second semester of Songbirds’ Write to Rock program. We’ve renewed our partnership with East Side Elementary and added Hardy Elementary to our roster this fall! Write to Rock is a five-week afterschool workshop where students work with seasoned songwriting professionals to create their very own musical masterpieces. The program will wrap on Thursday, December 5th with a live celebratory showcase at Songbirds where a full band performs the students’ songs!
Songbirds Youth Talent Show – Hosted by Amber Carrington
The Songbirds Youth Talent Show is making a return on Wednesday, December 4th! Submissions are open to all kids ages 12-18 years old across the greater Chattanooga area.
